Office 2007 with CD
Is there anywhere I can purchase a version of MS Office 2007 with a CD. I don't use a program with all options available. Basically, all I use now is Word and Excel. Have tried Open Office, but in their word processor, if I'm to forward it, I have to use the .rtf formant. I ask about a CD in the event I have a glitch and have to reinstall.

If anything, you might be able to find a 2010 version.
Why do you need MS Office for .rtf? If Open Office didn't work, did you try any other editors? LibreOffice is an offshoot of OO. .rtf is a pretty old standard, so there should be plenty of editors out there.

Midknyte and Train;
The reason I used the .rtf format when I had Open Office installed was because a couple of recipients were unable to open the document when I sent as a file from My Documents, saved with the OO extension. Does that make any sense to you?
The Office 2010 versions I've seen have more programs included than I'll ever use. I had a copy of Office 2000 that came as a "freebie" with one of my computers - should have kept it when I went to Windows7.

You can save as a .doc from OpenOffice too. OO would require that the other user have OpenOffice too.
You don't have to install the entire Office 2010 suite. You can pick the components you want.
BTW, Office 2007 and higher default to .docx not .doc. They can still open .doc files just fine, though.

I don't believe Office 2000 works with Windows 7. (I know Outlook 2000 doesn't work quite right).
