I really hate it. I use the cached pages A LOT. Have yet to find a solution. Unlike last time it happened, clearing the browser caches doesn't change it back this time.
I understand and have no problem with Google trying out new things, that's how they can improve things. But the way they do it really sucks big time.
#1) Fine, try a new layout, but why doesn't it say something up front? A lot of users like me are ambushed by the sudden change and think that there's something wrong w/ our browsers and/or computers.
#2) If this is an experiment, you'd think that they want feedbacks. The easiest way to get feedback statistics is to offer a button to change it back and watch how many people keep the new one and how many people switch it back. Yahoo mail does that. Not only that there is no way to change it back, there is no way that I know of that I can tell Google my opinion on it.
I've heard that Google only hires the smartest people. The way I see it, they are not that smart after all.
