I do not know if Malwarebytes will help for this problem. Others here can answer that.
However I can suggest, that if your son's computer does not have IE8 installed yet, to get it with your computer and put in on your thumb drive and install it on his computer.
If his computer already has IE8 I suggest un-installing it, and reinstall it.
