Can I have two browsers, Firefox and IE?

    Using XP and Firefox.

I have been using Firefox for several years and am very satisfied. However, a medical service program I want to use only works on Internet Explorer. I spoke with tech support from the medical service and they confirm that their software only works with IE.

Can I start using IE only for this medical service, without causing problems for my system? My default browser will continue to be Firefox, but whenever I need to access the medical service, I will do so using IE.

    Do you anticipate problems?

I vote you fire up IE and give it a shot...But yes - you can have as many browsers as you want.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Thanks guys. I love it when you give short and simple answers.

I will definitely look into the addon from Firefox.

You can definently run two browsers, or more for that matter, it just depends on which one you want to use as your default (the browser that comes up every time you click on a link or open a saved page). Most browsers will ask if you want to make them your default browser when you open them.

    Hope this helps!

Suppose I set my default browser to firefox. It wil open when I open an internet document.

Now I want to create a shortcut that will explicitly open a document using a non-default browser such as IE. Is there a way to say
    iexplore.exe&open=http://my.medical.service.com
