Arrow Are your SECURITY programs up to date? latest UPDATES here (In memory of Poppy4)

This thread is intended to be a place to alert everyone when important upgrades, updates and definitions for Security/Privacy-related software become available. Please keep it for those programs only - there is a similar thread in the "General & Business Software" forum for updates to other software.
  1. Please only post update announcements in this thread. Subsequent discussion about any update should be in a separate thread. Non-complying posts will be moved.
  2. Your update announcements should include (whenever possible): the full name of the software, the version, what has been updated, the date of the update and a link to a page on the internet where more information can be obtained.
  3. To keep this thread readable and to a manageable size, if an update announcement replaces one already posted, the out-of-date post will be removed. (Please feel free to PM me if you post an update and notice it might replace an existing one).

Update 5/19/06
With the way things are running rampant on the internet these days we do not recommend anyone disabling the auto updates on programs such as Microsoft Updates, Spyware Doctor, Windows Defender, ZoneAlarm, AVG & Antivir. By doing so you are doing it at your own risk. We will no longer be posting updates for programs that have auto update feature & update on a daily basis.

[color=midnightblue]To start with, I'll link to a couple of important places to look if you want to check for security updates yourself:[list][*]Microsft Windows Update
[*]Microsoft Download Center (for manual downloads)
[*]Microsoft Office Update
[*]Calendar of Updates (Thanks Fuelm@n!)

There is a newer version of CCleaner available:

A new version, 2.25.1025 is available!
Click here to download from filehippo, or just visit the alternate site.

Be careful or you automatically get the yahoo toolbar.

Seems like most 3rd party programs have updates since the introduction of Windows 7.

Safe surfing everyone.
