Did you do the rest that Train asked for?
You didn't get that version of Hijackthis from the link that Train gave you either. It's about 3 years out of date.
Uninstall it and install the latest (2.0.2), scan and save the log and post it back here with the others please.

I'm in the process of running Antispware now. It's been running for 13 hours. I had an old version of HJT so I just downloaded the latest. I'll post the log from it when I get thru the additional steps he listed.

OK I installed the latest HiJackThis and here is the log followed by the log from gmer.exe. I'm not sure if you want the gmer.log her or back in Internet Related Issues. BTW back in that thread I stated that I think the majority of my problems this weekend was caused byt a bad cable modem. I bought a new one and I'm much better now although I see spikes when I can't get a page to load. I've been trying to get to this thread and finally got here only after I deleted my internet history and cookies etc.

Looks ok from here. Once you cleaned out the History, have you had any more problems?

It's no better than it has been. Maybe worse?
It's very sporadic. For instance I've tried about a dozen times this morning to get to this thread from 3 different machines. It gets to various points and then hangs saying it's waiting on the server. Often I can check task mgr and it will show CPU 100% with 98% going to iexplore.exe.

I have the cable company coming out this morning. Hope they can find something. I really suspect signal strength fluctutations.

Can you tell me from the 4 logs (antispyware, malware, gmer and HJT) if anything was cleaned up that was significant? The antispyware and malware logs are in a thread by the same name on Internet Related Issues.

The cable company replaced the cable coming from the box outside to my house. He said it looks like moles in my yard may have been chewing on the old one!
I'd still like to know if all the cleanup software I ran cleaned off anything significant.

I didn't realise you were still posting to that thread . One trojan dropper and a bunch of cookies by the looks of things.
How is the connection since the repair?

Fantastic. Now I have to go back to work.

You can mark it resolved or whatever.

    Thanks for the help.
