Exclamation IE7-Uninstalled, and now I can't access Outlook Express!!

I was getting hung apps on IE7 and outlook express. I finally gave up and unintalled IE7 and now I can't open Outlook Express to retreive mail? HELP!! What do I do??
I've checked this further, and there is nothing in identities, No DBX files, etc. It looks as though the uninstalled wiped the mail program...I'm sick

stragf--jseidel's suggestion should reinstall OE for you, but I suspect you also want to find the missing email messages.
Do you mean you find no file (especially .dbx files) in C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{8D32DF8B-D3B8-4783-A0C5-FE37E2FC8659}\Microsoft\Outlook Express ?
If nothing there, did you look in Recycle Bin? There is an outside chance they could be there but with the extension type changed to .bak.

DBExtract could help find messages that have been "deleted". But it will cost $5 for the latest version.

An older, free version is here

P.S. As probably know, anything you "delete" is still on the hard drive at the time of deletion, but Windows now thinks that space is available for overwriting with new data. So if you get to it before Windows does, you may be able to recover the deleted files (including .dbx and .wab).

Well, I don't know what happened, but after about three reboots, I was able to access OE, and all seems fine. I can't say for certain, but I think IE7 reallyyyyy messed up this computer. I have never had so many problems with hung apps, specifically on IE and OE as I did after I down loaded 7. I'm still not 100%, but it is much better, and I have the mail back. Thanks all, but don't get too cozy, as I am sure this saga may be ongoing, bu resolved for now.
