I saw an article yesterday online, but not in detail...that's some nice detective work from "Mark Russinovich", i think i'll be downloading RKR now and checking my system.
Cheers for the indepth article....Sony have gone too far with this one.

This is a step in the right direction, I guess, but I'm still going to boycott Sony products. What they have done is reprehensible, and probably illegal.

There's more here, with a lawyer saying that it's definitley illegal under the Computer Misuse Act. I hope someone prosecutes them, they might take some notice of that:

Here's a link to the Sony site for supposedly removing this rootkit thingy. I think the more people to hit this site the bigger the message will be to Sony and to others to stop doing this.
