Anyone remember this scary Halloween email/website?
It was circulating a few years ago, pretty sure I got the link to the web site here at VDr, but I can't find it when searching archives.
When you got to the site, you were looking at a room with furniture in it, black and white photo if I recall correctly. After a few seconds a ghoulish figure popped up at front screen along with a really creepy audio, which scared the beejeebers out of the viewer. My young nieces just saw the current scary email of the automobile commercial from Great Britain and are pleading for me to find more frightening fare to scare them silly

Use search phrases like "Halloween computer pranks" and you'll find more than you ever wanted.
Might remind the nieces that "paybacks" are not fun....
I have a copy of the auto commercial. It's a pretty good one...

KatMac--Maybe this one
http://www.rumdesign.com/wrong/
I sent this to a family with 8 and 9 year old boys. I thought they would love it, but apparently one was so upset he cried for some time. The parents were not that appreciative.

Yep. That's the one. Be sure and mention the need to turn up the speaker volume so they can hear the soft spoken instructions in the background.

Welshjim: That's the one! Thanks!
Steve, I never turned the volume up that high, so have missed the instructions in the background. Thanks. And yes Jim, you're right about some kids (and parents) not taking this as well as others. My nieces (8 and 10) thrive on this stuff, but their little friend (9 year old boy next door) was so freaked when he saw the British car commercial he literally landed flat on his back on the floor. So my sister and her husband had to bring the little guy's dad over to show him the "commercial", so he would understand why his kid was so wigged out. He took it pretty well, tho.
Tek: yes, "car advert" is the British one. Enjoy
Thanks for everthing!

PS - the descriptive for the link went like this:
Unit 1 Sergeants test..........
How observant are you?
look closely!
There are two pictures identical to each other, you
have to find three (3)
differences.
If you can find three differences, then you are part
of an elite group of Sub Officers.
This has been tested on 80 sergeants,
and only 5 people out of
80 found the three differences.
There is no trick, all three differences exist. Try
it!! click on the link
Some computers may be able to play the background

Thanks for the extra links, guys. Fink: I'm really curious to find out what's at the end of your maze, but can't keep my mouse straight long enough to get there!
Tek: much as I braced myself, you got me with that last one with the two images

Halloween email
Does anyone remember the email that started off with counting beer bottles on the wall and then a scary face screams at you when there are many bottles to count?
