Irfan View Help Please!
I am going to put a rather colourful scarve into an auction on the web. The picture is about 528 KB. Need to reduce it to 70 KB to be able to publish it. Could you please tell me how to do this in Irfan View 3.92. Obviously I wish to keep the colours as near and bright as to original photo. I just culd not work it out.
Thank you.

Use the 'image' menu on the toolbar and select 'resize/resample' after you've brought the image onboard using the 'open' folder icon. You can resize it using a percentage of the original size or designate what you want. Save it as a jpg for smaller than bmp if needed. There are also options on the image menu for working with the colors if needed...
Stupid question? No such thing!

Thank you Ridgerunr.
I can see that but unfortunately one needs to play about and save several copies of the same image until one finds the correct KB. Also obviously it looses the actual colour definitions.
Never mind, I'll have to work on it then.
Thanks again.
