I've had it for about a week already followed a link on the right hand side of the screen ===> under the WinPlanet banner titled Mozilla Firefox and was this http://www.winplanet.com/file/11807.htm but now if you go there and click download it says it's going to download 1.06 ??
Maybe I d/l a beta version of 1.07

Here's where I downloaded 1.07 from.
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
and I don't think there is a 'beta' of 1.07
edit: I stand corrected, as there is a beta version, but it's the portable one:
Portable Firefox 1.07 Beta

Maybe I had the beta version of 1.07 a week ago and now that the official release is out the beta version was removed since it is obsolete.

Re Firefox update
To get Firefox 1.0.7 click on tools-options-check for updates and it will give you the option to download. I updated yesterday.
