broken HP AC adaptor
Hi,
My 3 year old HP G85 suddenly stopped working today so I went and looked and discovered that the AC adaptor was not working. The model number is 0950-2880. I cracked it open to look (no screws) and I think its burned out. Is there anything I can do or am I forced to shell out $25 for a new adaptor. Does anyone know of a cheap place to buy it or some third party source? Thanks.

What's needed is the voltage output and milliamp rating, plus you need to note the size and polarity of the end that plugs into the printer.
The easiest thing to do would be to take it to Radio Shack.

Aucrion sites usually have the laptop power adaptors at cheaper prices than through the main supplier if that helps.
BTW heres the adaptor for $15.78 or here for $22. but as we dont know your exact location its hard to get local prices for you.
