    2 Sata Hdd

    have two sata hdd in two PCs. 1st with two partitions and the 2nd with two as well. Problem is on the 2nd hdd c: partition (virus, and I have to reinstall win xp). I got more than 100 songs on same C: partition (I know it's very stupid , but...). I want to attach 2nd hdd on the 1st PC to save the songs. When I try to do it, menu with "Last known configuration....." appears and PC reboots. How to save songs

    I assume that you're plugging the 2nd drive into another SATA port on the motherboard and leaving the original drive in place? If so it sounds as if it's trying to boot from the "new" drive. Try swapping the ports around and see if it will boot into the original Windows.

    BTW, have you removed all traces of the virus? If not you are at risk opf infecting the other machine.

    I wan to boot from good hdd, to open added (bad) drive, to burn songs and then to reinstall Windows on bad partition.
