Resolved [RESOLVED] Spybot / Ad-Aware Double Wammy

Spybot says it has updates dated 09/09/05 but just freezes trying to d/l them.

Ad-Aware tells me my definitions are more than 22 days old but they are dated 08/09/05 (in dd/mm/yy format). When I check for updates, there are none.

I have found that if I wait half a day after an update is posted for spybot there are no problems.......but if I go for the update on notification, 3 out of 5 times it freezes and I have to c/a/d out of it. Must be because their servers haven't been updated or the traffic is so heavy they can't handle it?......I get the fastest and best response when I choose the Australian server.

Is it okay now that you reset it? or could it be time for a new Mobo battery?

No I think I had been playing around with something and had set the date forward by a few weeks and forgot to set it back.

Spybot did eventually d/l a couple of hours later.
