    Question home network with xp?

Hi guys i was wondering if there is a way to do a home network with xp pro and xp home versions?
My daughters pc is upstairs 2nd story, and mine is in the basement, i already have my daughters pc hooked up and wired sharing my dsl internet via the dsl router provided by my isp, i can run 4 pc's on that router.

What I would like to be able to do is to be able to do her spyware updates run her window washer , defrag her pc , and various other maintenance items from my pc downstairs.

Mt daughter has xp home and I have xp pro..We do not need to share printers etc.. but I would like access to her pc via mine= her desktop, i know about pc anywhere but can I do this securely via Ethernet network ?

    Thanks newme.

If the other machine was XP Pro you could connect via Remote Desktop but not with Home. You could schedule these to run as a Scheduled Task however.

There is a good & free remote control program called TightVNC (www.tightvnc.com). I use this regularly....
