    512 cruzermini memory stick not being recognized

    I am working on a win98 pc and trying to back up files with a 512 MB cruzermini. I have it plugged into the USB port and the light is on the memory stick and the pc recognizes that there is new hardware but not as a e:drive does on my xp pc.
    How can I get the win98 to recognize this stick? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Did you first install the Win 98 driver for the mini? Only Win ME and higher have the built-in driver components to auto load flash drives.
