[RESOLVED] Cannot Find Album Art
I have a music folder with a number of mp3 ripped from various albums. XP has found the album art for at least one of the mp3's and has automatically used it for the folder icon. However, it's not the one I would want as the folder icon.
I would like to use the album art photo from another folder. How do I do that?
The album art jpg'2 are not visible in XP (I discovered that they are in 98, tho) even though I do have the "show hidden files and folders" checked in the folder options.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can have a picture on a folder from a different folder, just right click the folder and go Properties, Customise Tab and select choose picture, navigate to and select the pic and apply|ok.

Yes, I tried that. However, no pictures show up when I "choose picture".

Do you mean there are none to choose from, or you apply one and it doesn't show up on the folder? it may be a file type issue, as the option to choose what file type is just "Images" and it may just be jpeg/bitmap pics.

You will then either have to convert the current files to Jpeg's, or an alternative would be to use a third party album art downloader: http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/ and retrieve the covers in the appropriate format and apply them manually.

I guess I wasn't clear in my initial post (though I thought I was) ...
These *are* jpg files - I can see them when I transfer this folder to a Windows 98 machine.

Well, if XP isn't letting you add these files to the folder view, try converting them with this: http://www.reasoft.com/products/reajpeg/ just to see, and then try and add the file, or view it.
Install that and right click one of the covers and select Convert To Jpeg.

Nope, that doesn't work. I had already tried using Thumbs Plus to see the files. It can't see them.
However, I've solved the problem. I went to Folder Options and unchecked the "Hide Protected System Files" box. Everyone (Windows Explorer, Thumbs Plus, etc) can see the files now.
