how much is a AMD athalon 64 3400+ s939 newcastle worth? (USD)
I am thinking of selling mine, but these things are not for sale retail, so I have no idea what price I should be looking for..
I was hoping at least 220ish

    thanx in advanced,

I find lots of listings for this at "retail" locations. Typical *new* price looks around $220, so I'd say that you'll need to take less for a used one...

hmm, where are you finding these prices?, cause I can't find anything 3400+ for sale that isn't s754

I am looking for the retail price, I will figure out how much I will lose cause it is used.., no need to worry about that..

well, seeing as the s754 3400+ is $220 at newegg and the s939 3500+ is $223, I guess $220 is a safe bet..

    thanx again,
    Byan

EDIT: meh, actually the 3800+ venice is cheaper then the 3800+ newcastle by $45.., I thought the venice was better?

so my newcastle 3400+ may be worth more then the 3500+ venice?.., meh..

    Bryan,

    I'm with Shiva_42,

you can buy a 3500+ s939 core at newegg for $223 retail not oem.

I would say yours is worth somewhere in the $175 range but it really depends on the buyer and what he/she is willing to pay. I usually neaver buy cpu's that near to new, because usually they are being sold because they are unstable.

Generally people will keep a new cpu longer than yours has been released. I'm sure you just want to upgrade or something but that's the position most buyers would take. (ie: if it's so good why is HE selling it.)

just my $.02 worth hope that helps

ok, so yours is a new castle and it's only $219 new retail instead of $224 new venice. i think it's still worth at best in the $175 range used, and that's if it started off as a retail and you have the original heatsink with it. 25-35 less if oem version.

    hope that helps

I had him agreed upon 510 before I knew that I was gonna get new ram, and he wants me old ram..., so It should be like 580 now..
