Is your software as UP TO DATE as it could be? Latest Update Announcements!
This thread intended to be a place to alert members when important updates
to their software and operating system become available.
Please only post announcements of the updates in this thread - subsequent
discussion about any update should be in a general topic in the forum relevant
to the update (I will be removing non-complying posts to keep this thread
readable and to a manageable size). If an update replaces one already posted
in the thread, i will try to remove the out-of date one (Please feel free to PM
me if you post one and notice it should replace an existing one).
It will remain a "sticky" at the top of this forum.
To start with, I'll link to a couple of important places to look if you want to
check for updates yourself:
************************************
Microsft On-line Windows Update
************************************
Calendar of Updates (Thanks Fuelm@n for that one!)
************************************
Mandrake Linux Updates
************************************
This topic is a reponse to the suggestions made in the Feedback forum.

There is a new thread in the new Security News forum:
http://discussions.virtualdr.com/sho...hreadid=171071
Please could all updates for Spybot, Adaware, Anti-Virus (and all other Security/Privacy-type) programs go there from this point on, and we'll keep this thread for updates to general software.
Thanks.
Nick.

Re: LindaHewitt's post.
Not sure whether this is the update she refers to.
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS05-023.mspx
It is for
• Microsoft Word 2000 and Microsoft Works Suite 2001
• Microsoft Word 2002, Microsoft Works Suite 2002, Microsoft Works Suite 2003, and Microsoft Works Suite 2004 -
• Microsoft Office Word 2003
• Microsoft Word 2003 Viewer
And it is called a Critical Update by MS. For some reason it was not offered to me at the Microsoft (Windows) Update site.
