    Screen resolution - non standard

I have a monitor than has an optimum resolution of 1360 * 768. If I use a Plug n Play cable direct to the monitor, I can set up this resolution.

The problem is, I am feeding video from more than 1 pc, through a video switching box. So I cannot get at the Plug n Play pins.

This means that XP cannot see this screen size, and only offers me the standard resolutions.

HOW, can I force XP to use a non standard resolution ?

    please help.
I have found Power Strip, but it doesnt appear to give me the option to create resolutions.

    Ta Very Much.

Boy, you got me... I've never even *heard* of this particular resolution. What brand/model is the monitor?

The screen is an NEC 4610 LCD.

but its not the only screen that can be used.....

    ie

4 PC's are streaming video out. these feeds go through the video switching box to one of 3 monitors. 2 standard 1024*720, and this one at 1360*768.
Because the Plug and play data is removed in the video switch, this 1360*768 resolution cant be seen.

I was pointed to Power Strip. Even if I tell Power strip to use 1360*768, Windows sets the x to 1280.

    any ideas??

I've never looked for one, but are there no switch box alternatives that pass the pin-outs that are needed for this?
