nv4_disp
I recently upgraded my computer to a 3 ghz p4, 1 gig of dual channel mem. and a 256 mb graphics card. Ever since I have done this I have been having a ton of problems while playing different games. The main problem is with Doom 3. I will be playing along when everything will freeze up and then it shuts my whole system down for a critical error and it always says that file nv4_disp caused the problem. I have searched out this file and it was found 12 times and the date modified on 10 of them is 8\2004 and they are all application extension files or setup files except one that was modified on 6/12/2005 and is a prcompiled setup information file. Does anyone have any idea on why this is causing a problem and do I need all of these .dll files or are some of them redundent and could be deleted?
Thanks again for any help!!

I tried to copy and paste my search results but it didn't work or I don't know what I'm doing!!!!

Can you be a little bit more specific about the graphics card make+model?, and also do you have a gfx cooler?, how long are you playing doom 3 for before it dies?

The make+model of the graphics card is a nvidia GeForce FX5500 256mb DDR.
Yes the card has its own fan and the case has 3 fans in it. I didn't mention that my motherboard was also replaced. The new MB is a MSI PT880 neo.
I am usually playing doom for around 30 minutes or less.
