slow imaging via USB and Ghost
MSI MS-6340 Ver: 5 mainboard
Trying to dump a ghost image which is about 1.3GB in size onto a Hard-Disk via a bootbale 4GB Apacer flash drive. Booting from USS ZIP in BIOS works fine, run a batch file I made with ghost switches also runs fine, but it's cloning at 40-45MB/minute...using Ghost 7.5

Is this using USB 1.1? If so that's probably about as good as you're going to get.

NEM1S1S--Are you trying to make a Clone image or a Backup?
When I use a USB2.0 connection (on a Pentium 4, 3GHz PC) to a USB external hard drive, I find I can clone at only 28-29 MB/minute, but backup is more than ten times as fast.
Someone told me to first clone to my hard drive and then transfer to the external drive. I have not tried that yet.

Trying to dump an image onto a Hard-Disk. The image uncompressed is about 2500MB. I'm not sure if the MS-6340 Ver:5 mainboard supports USB 2.0 connection.
