Resolved Drive letters not in order [Solved]

After I had to re-install win xp pro my drive letters are all out of order? My two hard drives were C: & D: now they are C: & J: I have several other input devices that used to be in order. I need to know if it is possible to reassign new letters...

Go to Disk management under the Admin Tools Applet in Control Panel and in there you can rename and reletter to your hearts content.

I was only able to change my slave HD from J: to D: There was not an option to change the other letters?

It's a little convuleted but you need to change several just to vhnage one or two depending on what drive letters are currently being used.
Say if you wanted to chnage D to H and you already had EFG&H occupied you would first need to change H to something else, I always go to Z then H would be avialable.
