Yeah, that's a USB driver that didn't get loaded correctly for some reason. I had one once on a system that I never could get corrected until I installed SP2. Sometimes they can be very stubborn.
Have you tried removing it and then rebooting to see if windows will reinstall it correctly? If you end up with the same thing then try reinstalling your motherboard drivers from your drivers disk, or better yet go to your motherboard web site and see if they have an updated driver for USB.
I'm sure some more people here will have more things for you to try but give those a try in the meantime.
Also, you will need to list your motherboard specs, and OS inorder to take this to the next level.
Good luck.

Ditto to installing Service Pack 2 if using WindowsXP.
If SP2 is already installed,
State brand and full model of the mobo in question.
Cheers.

Howdy:
You are going to need to install the drivers for your usb.. Odds are they will be on the systemboard driver cd you should have gotten with your system.. Otherwise, you can go to the computer manufacturers website, search your make and model and download and install the drivers from there..
Also, make sure USB is enabled in BIOS!!

EVEREST Home Edition will give you that and much more information about your computer.
After the install, in the left pane click the + mark in front of Motherboard, then in the expanded listing click the word motherboard, now read the right pane. It should be listed.
