    The above mentioned link is for 95 A & B. I'd be careful about using these files unless you're running 95A or 95B.

    VXD files are constructed on your system, for your needs, by the various software/hardware you install.

    Have a look here for some VXD information before you start trying to replace missing VXD files.

    Hold the phone. The file (23.889KB) can be extracted from the NET9.CAB file in the Win98 directory on the 98CD. (First AND Second Edition CD.) If you have winzip or similar on another machine you can use this to extract the file to a floppy. Then boot your machine into raw dos (Ctrl key on boot - Command Prompt Only) or use a bootdisk. Once you get the C:\> (or A:\>) prompt, switch floppy disks and type in;

    copy/v a:\*.vxd c:\windows\system\vmm32

    Shane:

    What version of Windows are you using? I'm asking because you posted this in the "Windows 98" section.

    I checked both of my Windows 98SE computers and that file doesn't appear in either of them.
    HP Pavilion N5495, Intel Pentium IIIM 1.06 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Windows XP SP2
    Compaq Presario 5900T, Intel Pentium III 733 MHz, 320 MB RAM, Windows 98SE
    Compaq Presario 5030, Intel Pentium II 300 MHz, 256 MB RAM, Windows 98SE
