    Question disappearing websites

    I have been having trouble for a couple of months with websites disappearing. About every 6th website i go to, while reading it - it will just close and disappear. I am not knocked off the Internet - just will lose the website. There are particular ones that I can't get on, and then there are random ones i happen upon while surfing. I would appreciate some advice on how to fix this. There are some websites that I need to do business with, but they disappear after about 30 seconds.

    Please can you give us as much info as possible about what you are using, such as what web browser, what OS, is it dial-up, cable or DSL, etc.?

    Hello,
    I have Windows 98se; use Internet explorer version 6, dial up modem. I hope I can give all the info you need, I'm not very computer literate as far as all the techinal terms and lingo or the inside workings.
