Ultra Speed CD-RW's
I bought 25 memorex 24X Ultra Speed CD-RW's cause I seem to be running out of them.., I misplaced the 10 ones that I bought originally
well, when I bought them, (erm, my mom bought them.., thats why I got memorex, cause we were in the store and she asked if I needed anything.., so...) I noticed that it said ultra-speed, but I didn't think anything of it
well, they work perfectly most of the time, until I try to use them on something that wasn't made in the last 3 years or so..
the first time I had problems with them was when my friend's Easy CD creator wouldn't burn on them, saying that the burner didn't support them.., but he has a brand new LiteON 52x32x52, I ended up using XP's built in burner for them.., worked perfectly
next, at the community college that I dual-enroll at, they would not burn.., they would read fine.., but the burners would not burn to them or erase them.., acted like they were too dirty, ect.; I had to barrow a 2x CD-RW from a friend
next, I burned an MP3 CD for my friend and some drivers on there that he needed..
first the CD would not read on his CD-RW compatable MP3 CD player.., which well, it was a peice of crap player, so I wasn't too disapointed with that, (it would actually get the first track name then basically freeze), but then, while trying to get the drivers off, he found that it would not read on his 48x CD-ROM drive..
what is with these CD-RW's?, I could see them only being writable on drives fast enough to handle 24x (but they will burn at 10x if I choose to, so maybe they will work on those burners as well), but I do not understand why they will not read on some drives..
and they work on my peice of crap MP3 CD player
thanx in advanced,
Byan

Not the first time where I have seen that brand not work with LiteOn burners.
Why I normally buy Fujifilm, Verbatim or TDK brand cds.
Just my experience.
But memorex will burn in my LiteOn dvd.

I think that was just Raxio's fault, cause it work fine with XP's built in burning stuff...
my burner is LiteON 52x24x52.., so..
