    Question MP4 Video Files

When I try to play a MP4 vidoe file in MPC it says that it cannot render the file. Im guessing that im probably missing an MP4 splitter...... however I havent been able to find anything in google. How do I make MPC play MP4 video files? (Without installing one of those everything-in-one codec packs)

Windows Media player will play mpeg4 video's as long as they comply with the standards, as will real player and quick time player. What player are you trying to use?

Sorry, I should have replied sooner.

I found out that the file was not MP4. The server had returned a 404 error html, firefox still downloaded that as a mp4 file. I never bothered to check the filesize >.<
