    Sound recording from LPs

Hello Everybody, I would like to transfer music from my LP vinyl records to CDs for my own use. I did check Google about this and found some softwares for this. Could anyone recommend a good program to do this? I have the record player and amplifier, WinXP pro and cd burning capability.

I did a lot of ripping from vinyl last year. I used Audio Cleaning Lab 2004 from Magix for about $40.00. Worked very well. My albums are all in excellent shape, and didn't require a lot of cleaning, according to this software.

Another simple program for ripping is Rip Vinyl, $7.00. It's a download, check Google.

    Here's Goldwave... http://goldwave.ca/ It's the pay-for software I use.

Also use Audacity... http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ It's free, nice little program.

    Here's a Cnet arcticle... http://reviews.cnet.com/Music/4520-7...5116211-1.html

Just have to stick my 2¢ worth in here. A very simple program that I have used for both vinyl and cassette ripping for over a year is "RipVinyl" by Wieser software. It rips into Wav format that can go straight to cd. Only negative is you will have to re-name the tracks manually, but imo, that's not a biggie. And the total cost is usd$7.00. : http://www.wieser-software.com/products.shtml
