.rar file expander
I need one, and I thought, where better to ask than here? Anyone have a good freeware/shareware one they'd like to recommend? Thanks in advance.

I use WinRAR myself, but that's not free. It was price-competitive to WinZip ($29, free 40-day trial), though.
I've heard good things about 7-Zip, which is free, but not having used it myself, I have to slap the YMMV disclaimer on it

Here's another excellent freeware one:
ZipGenius

Grazie. I'm trying the eval version of winrar at the moment. But I don't deal with rar archives often enough to bother buying it so I'll try that next

I use ZipGenius for the odd rar file too. It's not my default zipper though.

I also use winrar.., I don't think the eval actually ever runs out.., I feel guilty about not buying it yet.., but I'll do it sooner or later, so they'll get their money; thing is that it only nags you when you open it up directly..., and I always use context menus
I have heard good things about both 7-zip and PowerArchiver , but thats not free and I havent tired either..
