    Start Menu Automatically comes up on boot up

    I received a pre-loaded hard drive as a replacement from Dell but after boot up the Start Menu appears on the Desktop for about 10 seconds. Is there a way to stop this?

    Is it in Startup folder? or any of the RUN folders in the registry? Did you check the Event Viewer for a possible reason why its loading into memory on boot?
