bytes in bad sectors (?)
For as along as i can remember, after running scandisk, the details state 237,568 bytes in bad sectors. I dont know of any problems caused. What could have caused this or is it a normal anomaly?
Thanks.

Hi Carson,
That's the whole purpose of doing disk scans with tools such as Scandisk, Disk Doctor, etc., so as to mark any bad sectors as bad. (Meaning nothing will be written to those sectors.) It's not uncommon for a drive to have a small amount of such. Unless yours begins to increase at an alarming rate, I wouldn't worry about it.
Happy computing!

Thanks Limerick...That certainly explains it. Mine has always been the same. No worries.
