    Cable Internet

I am about to switch from DSL to cable and i live in Fort Worth, Texas. I currently have Charter Cable TV and I was wondering if, because of that, I can only use Charter for cable internet, and what your opinion about charter is? If not, what are other good cable internet providers in my area?

I think it depends on whether or not Charter is the only thing available in your area. I think that's one of the downsides to cable is that you can only get the ones that you want if you're in their coverage area. You can get any dsl hooked up, but the problem is is that DSL tends to have a cap and it's tied with your landline phone number which is great for people who own their own homes.

I had Charter for an ISP back in the states and always had high praise for them. When compared to DSL, well, there was no comparison.

Well seeing as how charter is the only cable available in my area, I am going to go with Charter. My neighbor had charter and it was a lot faster than SBC DSL. Thanx for your help.
