    Server 2003 crashes while booting

I'm trying to install Windows Server 2003 Enterprise on my AMD 64 2800 system. This is the time limited install from M$ and I d/l'ed the 32 bit file.

The first problem occurs while setup is installing devices. About 2/3 of the way through the machine will crash. A hard restart will eventually let the machine get past the device install and finish.

The second problem is now that's it's "installed" it crashes as soon as it gets to the logon screen.

I've tried installing it 3 times with the last time a redownloaded copy of the file. Same problems each time.

I'm already dual booting this machine with XP on the first partition and ME on the second. So I'm attempting to put the Server on the third primary partition.

    TIA

Please provide more information on what the crash eror is. If we don't know what the error is, then it is hard to fix, or offer help.

ecrosson, I'm not getting any error messages. What happens is that my 2 monitors go black and a few seconds later the monitor's power lights dim as if the machine has been shut down.

At that point the machine is completely unresponsive, however the fans are still running and my CD and DVD drives open and close.

I've had this happen once before with a Linux distro install. Switching to a different distro solved that problem.

So I'm inclined to think that I'm getting a corrupt d/l from M$. I'm using DAP so I might change that.
