Shell 32 - What does it do?
I ran system File Checker and it told me that shell.32.dll was corrupted. Could'nt extract it from the CD so I went to a dll download site and now everything is in Swedish.
I'm thinking thats what happened. Ran EZTrust and the Panda online scan and AdAware.

That second image is the File Properties box showing the Version tab. Its a clickable thumbnail.
I'm wondering how to put it back. First I have to get an english version but I'm not sure whether to restore the registry before I change shell32.dll or after. All my icons are gone and Programs is empty on the Start menu.

See here for info on shell32.dll Leurgy.
Try replacing it with a fresh copy from your Win98 CD. See here for more help.

I dont think you will have to Leurgy unless you registered the new dll when you downloaded it.

Thanks AnneMarie
Was able to extract this time. Everything back to normal.
Should have read the download page. It even said it was swedish.

ROFL, we all make mistakes. I didnt read that you couldnt extract the dll from your CD but my oversight worked in our favour this time.
