    Avast (free) and email

    My email stops working after a few weeks of using Avast antivirus. It works fine with AVG -free (my present AV) or any other anti virus software. It works fine immediately after uninstalling Avast and installing AVG.
    Any thoughts on this?

    dont know i have used avast for a long time no problems,
    it stops incoming and outgoing?

    under settings click smtp on the left see if you have something checked there that dosent need be.
