i have this entry in the hijack-this file, i cant remove it. but i cant figure out where it came from(cant switdh it from trusted to restricted sites either) doesnt appear to do anything harmful, yet.
anybody familiar with it?
also i am runnig both I.E. version6 sp1, and now mozzila 1.5. i understand I.E. is integrated into( windowsXP sp1a) ive tried uninstalling I.E., with add/remove programs, with no luck. also by editing the registry(with conflicting messages upon reboot). so it seems i have both browsers. how will spybot and hijack this know which browser to check? ithey seem to run slower know (making me think both browsers are being scanned) but are they? john
There are two registry entries that have to be removed John.
Go here and download, unzip and run the Registry Search Tool. Type crazywinnings in the dialog box. Let it run and after a few minutes, a prompt will appear. Click OK to write the results to Notepad and post them.
i have found one entry with the search tool , and according to the utility i downloaded it removed that entry when i closed the word
document that opened it however i did save it to a copy of this file
that i uploaded if it needs to be restored.
file attached john
i used regsearch and ran it again its gone from the registry, however hijack-this refuses to remove it and i still cant remove it from trusted sites or add it to restriced sites, i tried rebooting nothing
