Can Not Connect to Network printer

Okay, it's my turn. The IP Address is 136.209.89.34 as verified by the configuration menu and I can install from the print server which shows this address and manually from creating a local port.

I can't ping the printer but my co-worker can print just fine from this address. Any ideas?

I guess the first thing to do is to check the printer's settings -- often people forget to set the subnet mask or default gateway correctly on printers.

Any obscure static routes on your PC that might be sending your pings to the wrong place?

Any chance of attaching a hub with a packet-sniffing PC just next to the printer to see if your ping is getting there or not?

The printer is okay with the setting as a colleague can print to it with the same IP address I am using. The only thing different is my PC and the prinetr are on the same swictc, the other PC is not.

Is it a managed switch? Any chance that your port and the printer's port are just on different VLANs, or that there's an old access list in the way?

Can you swap the switch ports of you and your co-worker as a quick test? That would isolate it to either the network or your PC.
