registry mechanic?

hello all,

i am running xp sp1, and i just installed registry mechanic ver4.0.0.86 a quick scan found aprox 150 problems. the pc is really not giving me any problems. how can i be sure what to delete and what not to. i recently have installed and uninstalled some software, and did have to use a system restore point, which is why i am using reg mech. thanks john

i have used reg.mech. a lot and never had any problem letting it fix what it found, are they registry or unneccessary files

hello frebo,

i have just opted to let reg. mech. repair all of the problems it found, i was thinking along the lines of hijack_this which i have used and am very careful what i remove also there is a list of suspected bad entries, which you can use to check a suspected
file. we will see what happens thanks john
