Angry Immedite Help Required! Network Bakup Fatal Error

    HELP!!!

I Networked my PC with my Laptop (Both winxp sp2) and transfered over 25GB of data to the laptop.

I then formatted the pc, reinstalled sp2 and re-established the network.

I dragged the 25GB+ Bakup folder from the laptops shared folder to the pcs shared folder.

The copy dialog came up and I went to eat.

When I got back, the dialog was gone and less than half the files had been copied. Cannot find missing files on either laptop or pc.

    ANY SUGGESTIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

i really need your help guys.

    Dear dickthestick,
I have no idea, but I am answering to put your post to the top. The info is still on your laptop (unless you deleted or cut (even though you "dragged" it. I would suggest you don't do anything that would overwrite. Other help is needed!

I would like to suggest that 25GB is too much for one go. If you try to do that and only one file is currently in use you get stopped dead. Try smaller chunks.

Where would i find the files on my laptop then?
I have tried some temp dirs.

But im sure that the files r gone because of the increase in free diskpace on both pc and laptop

Did you try to Move the files from the Laptop or Copy them from the laptop?
