    Right click on My Computer.

    Select Properties

    Click Performance

    Click File System

    Click Troubleshooting

    Check Disable System Restore

    Click Apply

    Click OK

    Click OK

Just wanted to wish you the very best of this holiday season.
ps: one more question regarding WinMe system restore: would it be possible to delete all presvious restore points except the last one like in WinXP?

    From memory.

Right click my computer> choose properties> performance > files> trouble shooting. Put a check mark on disable system restore > reboot

    Here's more: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT...rc=sec_doc_nam

    Gotta type faster.

You could disable it which would clear all and then re-enable it which would create a new restore point as soon as the system reboots.

Other than that I have had it disabled so long I can't remember.

In fact I use a utility called System Restore Remover Pro which also deletes the hidden _Restore folder.
