Problem after XP install
I just had to reinstall my XP in my Dell Inspiron 4100 notebook and now I am having problems with standby mode. Before the new install I could shut the notebook and the computer would go into stanby mode and after opening the notebook it would resume right where it left off. Now it will still go into standby but when i open the notebook it takes forever and is really slow. Like I said it never did it until the new install. Any idea's what it could be?

That is standby and not hybernation mode you mean?
Have you rechecked your power saving settings?
What sort of reinstall did you do over the top, format etc?
Did you reload all the motherboard drivers?

Nope its standyby for sure, i have hybernation unchecked so it can't go into hybernation mode. I will double check my power settings and yes I did reinstall all my MB drivers. I did a complete format and install.
