Huge temp file on HD
I have a huge temp file on my hard drive (over 11 gigs in size) and it's located in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp\em1140 and the file name is em_27.tmpsize_arr.
Does anyone know if I can safely delete this file without compromising my windows. I have a 30 gig drive so you can imagine that deleting this file would save a huge amount of space.
Thanks in advance for your help!

A search on Dogpile would seem to indicate that it has something to do with a downloaded video or audio. See the results here. Also at the top of the Dogpile page click the Audio button and Go Fetch.
Have you been watching some live streaming video or listening to streaming audio? In any event, you could create a folder and move that file to it rather than deleting it. If you don't experience any problems after a couple of days it would probably be safe to delete.

I would say that you are almost certainly OK to delete that. I normally recommend that people put files that they aren't sure about in the Recycle Bin for a few days to see if anything complains, but in your case it will be too large. If you really want to be on the safre side you could burn it to a CDRW through.

I agree it's deletable and although I can't imagine it's of any use you could just rename it for a few days before you permanently delete it. That would accomplish the same thing as putting it in the delete bin... add .old to the end of it.

Darn,
I read the original statement and thought 11Gb on a CD what a waste of a CD.
Maybe you just need the 12inch remix version. LOL
