Stopping favorites from being re-ordered
This is on a work computer, where I don't have admin privledges, running 2000. Is there someway to get this thing to stop rearranging my favorites by order of how often their used?
Strikes me as yet another "feature" implemented by someone who's never actually used a computer.
Thanks all.

In IE, go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab and uncheck "Enable personalised favorites menu".

Hmm. In both Win98 and WinXP with IE 5 through 6, I have never had Favorites order themselves by frequency of use. Sometimes they order themselves alphabetically and I can always drop and drag them to where I please. But never have seen ordering by frequency. I have the "Enable personalised favorites menu" box unchecked.

That's why you're not seeing it Jim - if you check that box, then you'll find that infrequently used Favourites will hide themselves.

Thanks Sparks. Its funny, that I've never noticed that option before. When I get back to work Monday, I'll take a look.
