ever want to know everything about how the internet works?
I looked up one of these a while back when I was looking up information on how SMTP servers work.., for a program..
http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/index.html
I had no idea that there were so much of them, if you ever wanted to know how the internet works.., this would be the place to start.., I have read a few of them.., they can be really confusing.., have to reread stuff sometimes but its definately really interesting..

They're not all serious either -- wait till you find some of the ones published on April 1 in a given year. Ones that spring to mind include discussions of the Y10K problem, the twelve days of technology before christmas, IP transmission over avian carriers (pigeons), the infinite monkey protocol suite and the hypertext coffee pot control protocol (including the response code "418 I'm a teapot.")
