RSS feed
I think it would be cool if there was a RSS feed for the most recent/most active threads...,
I know I would use it..

I agree with you and have thought it to be a great idea over a year ago...

I shall make some enquiries and see if such a thing is a possibility. It sounds like an excellent idea on the face of it

Yeah, a great idea!
And while JupiterMedia have their check books out, how about an update of the VBulletin?

We'll forgive you this time, Nix
From www.xml.com:
RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news-like sites, including major news sites like Wired, news-oriented community sites like Slashdot, and personal weblogs. But it's not just for news. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: the "recent changes" page of a wiki, a changelog of CVS checkins, even the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way.
If you are using Firefox, then copy the following bookmark, go to Bookmarks>Manage Bookmarks>File>Add Live Bookmark and paste the Url there. It will be a folder, and the headlines in the folder are updated when a new article is written.

Lol, I had no idea what a wiki was, so I looked it up:
http://wiki.org/wiki.cgi?WhatIsWiki
Wiki is a piece of server software that allows users to freely create and edit Web page content using any Web browser. Wiki supports hyperlinks and has a simple text syntax for creating new pages and crosslinks between internal pages on the fly.

We have brought this to our representative with Jupiter Media.....they have told us that RSS is installed in the newest version of Vbulletin software. They are looking into upgrading some time in the future.
Note....they did not say in the near future.

Yes, it's one of many things that we have been discussing in our private moderators forum concerning the future of the site. I can't make any promises at all, as whether we have this feature would be up to Jupitermedia and not us. But it is a definite possiblility for the future.
Thanks for the suggestion Bryan (and you too Fuelm@n). If you've got any more, let's hear 'em - we'll always listen to good ideas
Nick.
