iPod

Ok, We just won a iPod at a football game. And I know how to put songs on to it and all. But I don't want the songs on my computers hardrive. But If I delete the songs off the hardrive it also deletes them off the iPod the next time I sync the ipod to the iTunes libairy. Is there a way to delete the song soff my computer without removing them from the iPod?

Thanks for the link. iPods are really great I've been looking at them for a while but no way I could afford one. But I went to a Local College football game and won it. I guess I have some good luck. I was worried though becuase supposely it will only work with USB 2.0 but it works with 1.1 just fine.
