    hwlp with telnet

    well can some body give me complete steps how can i connect two of my computer using telnet
    well may be single reply but please give me 10 min and write a comprehensive one
    well please donot show any website
    as i googled a lot but no help
    by the way how should i confirgure that remote computer that i am going to access
    please help with comprehensive steps

    Using Telnet these days is almost invariably a really bad idea -- it's about as insecure as it gets. What do you actually want to accomplish?

    well i was just trying to get how can i do that with my two computer just for info.
    may be i will need them some day.
    beside i didnt found any book toturials working with my computers so i just typed it and hope that answer comes
    but .....
    still hoping

    You're best to avoid using Telnet as Tuttle said. However, if you're just trying to figure out how to use it...

    What operating systems are you using on both machines?
    Typing "telnet IP Address" into a command prompt will initiate a telnet session to that computers IP Address. The telnet daemon must be running on the other end however to establish the connection and get prompted for a login.

    Also, one more word of warning here. Telnet should be fully patched and up to date before employing anywhere as there are numerous holes which could be exploited.
