msimain.sdb (???)
I have a recent folder added to C:\Windows named "AppPatch"
It contains a file named "msimain.sdb"
I cant find anything on google or here about what it may be or why it recently appeared in my Windows directory.
Any help is appreciated.
Running "98se/IE5.5sp2
Thanks...

From MS:
Msimain.sdb: Prepackaged database that contains a list of Windows Installer packages (.msi files) that have compatibility problems and their associated Application Help messages.

Thanks Triple7's. I did check with MS and everything I read about Msimain.sdb was related to OS- XP.
I guess I was asking, since I'm using 98se is it a needed file?
Any 98 users also have it in the AppPatch folder?
Thanks again,
carson

I do, but it might be that XP put it there. I daul boot. Or it could have been put there by an update.
I also have a clean install of Win98 on a laptop, no updates, I don't use it for the internet. It is not on that install.

Thanks for the info boots...
Had to be an update of some kind I guess. Switched and added HD's and did an Xcopy32...so I cant get the original "when created" info. I'll try to pay more attention after any MS updates, etc.
Thanks again, guys.
