    Canon program never finishes installing..

I'm trying to get the software installed for Canon ELPH digital camera. There are several sub-programs - and all install ok, except the last one 'ZoomBrowserEX' - it installs for quite a while then a message continuously shows that says please wait while ZoomBrowserEX installs - but, it never finishes, or at least, I never get a message telling me it is finished. There is a shortcut it (ZoomBrowser) placed on my desktop - is it actually completely installed, or not? Lastly, I can't get the hang of installing the software into the camera - instructions say to set camera on replay then connect to CPU - so - I have connected camera to one of the USB ports on the front of the tower after I think I have loaded the software, but nothing happens, so I must be ommitting a step. For the record, I am -
Using WIN ME; 1 GB processor - 40 GB hdd (32 GB free) - 368 RAM (70% free). I've charged the battery, taken some practice pics - but trying to get it set up to load pics into the 'puter.
    Any/all help appreciated. Norm69

Just saw this post. Could you give me the model number of that camera? Canon says there is more than one Canon ELPH. After I get the model number then I can help.

    re: Photolady and ELPH

    Photolady,
Thanks for the response. For a while I couldn't get back into Virtualdr - probably cause my cookies were all deleted - then there were some hurricanes and lost electric and so on. Anyway, the ELPH is a SD200 and I did finally get the probs solved. It takes great pics - but also took a lot of reading of the manual and that is the key to getting it to operate, etc. When I bought the camera I had no idea such a little thing could do so much or was so complex. I wrote BIG JOHN and that's how I got back onto Virtualdr.
But again, Photolady, thanks for responding to my post.

You're welcome Norm. I'm glad to hear you solved the camera problem. Yes, sometimes it pays to read the manual.
